作为一款轻量级的系统查看与监视软件，WinPatrol亮点不多：启动程序、正在运行的程序、系统服务、文件关联、Cookie查看等等这些功能在以前介绍的软件中也有提到，感觉它就像是小软件的集合，但是在细节上比小软件做得好.费版WinPatrol的监控并非实时，至少也得间隔一分钟，而且免费版还无法使用WinPatrol的数据库查询某个具体进程的信息，除此以外收费与免费就没什么区别了，具体的比较可以看这里。（监控频率我倒不是很在意，但那个数据库查询的功能要是免费用户也能享受的话就好了）
由于软件启动后托盘处是一个小狗的图标，而且双击打开主界面时还会听到一声狗叫，再加上它的功能又是监控与查看，所以把它称作系统的“看门狗”一点也不为过。



Winpatrol monitors your computer and does not allow applications to simply add themselves to the startup menu or associate files to themselves. Everything is caught by winpatrol. It then asks if you agree to what modifications are being done or not.
